Shadows Burning

At long last, a new roleplay!

This one takes place in/around/near a medieval-ish castle.

We're gonna do some things a little differently with this one. In all the previously created roleplays, all of our characters are basically of the same social class (all having their ceremony in the Us, all in the same class at Hogwarts, all humans who can turn into birds, all tributes in the Hunger Games, etc.)

But this time, you get to choose the lifestyle and occupation of your character. You could choose to be anything from an orphan or a servant to a cook's apprentice to a princess. Our characters are probably all going to end up being freinds, allies, and at least acquaintances, but they'll come from different backgrounds and have different lives.

The other thing that's different with this roleplay is that there's kind of a plot. There's a mystery in the castle that we have to solve. Here's some background on the story:

There is a king an a queen of the kingdom. He is a good king an has ruled for over twenty years. There is something strange and mysterious surrounding the circumstances under which he was coronated. Recently there has been a murder at the castle. Lord Westington, who was an advisor of the previous king, was found in an empty storeroom with a slit throat. Nothing is known about the killer, except that s/he is probably still somewhere in the castle, either hiding or disguised. Unless, of course, it was someone who has been in the castle all along...

Only Raindrop and I know who did it. As you uncover more and more evidence and come closer to discovering the murderer, more information will be revealed about the history of the kingdom and the motivations and intentions of the murderer.

Gender: male (my first)

Age: probably somewhere from 13-15, I don't knoe the exact age but i guess it doesn't matter too much. 

Appearance:  very dark brown hair, kinda straight and kinda messy, kinda tan, brown eyes

Personality: usually pretty nice and talkative, he is very loyal to his friends and will help them out however he can, but doesn't like to talk about his own problems.  He is also not very good at keeping secrets.  He is very curious and likes solving mysteries, but sometimes will act on an impulse that ends up getting him in trouble.   

Occupation/background:  He is some sort of castle servant, i haven't decided exactly what yet, but maybe a stable boy, a dishwasher, or like a personal servant to one of the rich people who lives in the castle.

I have no idea what my character will be like. I will have to think about it.)

(I don't know what to name my character.  maybe just Eric.  And he is a castle servant who sweeps and stuff in lots of different parts of the castle.  In his free time, he likes to wander around the city, so he can meet your character, Ribbon)

Appearance: dark reddish brown hair, freckles, tannish/medium skin, brown eyes so dark they sometimes look black

Personality: Unpredictable, dramatic and moody, likes playing practical jokes, laughs at other peoples' expense. Usually acts like he's superior to everyone else, but he talks to servants sometimes. He orders people to do random things for no reason. He's smart, though, and hardworking when it pays off (if it doesn't, he doesn't even pretend to try). He's strong and is a good, level-headed leader in tense situations. Most people would be surprised to learn this. His good traits are seen/recognized by very few.

Occupation/background: He's the son of the prince, the king's brother. Before or soon after he was born, his father left  to journey to a far-away country to make negotiations, and he has only recently returned to the castle. His mother is unknown, probably just a lower-class girl who lives in the outer city.

Name: Kathrine Meredith Fletcher (most people call her Kate)

Gender: girl

Age: 83

Appearance: She is very old and short and has really long curly frizzy white hair.  Also, she is in a wheelchair and she has green eyes and pink glasses.

Personality: She is very adventurous and doesn't like to be called old.  She likes to have fun and does crazy stuff sometimes, which makes some people worry about her.  She doesn't care what anybody thinks, and has trouble controlling what comes out of her mouth.  This makes her seem really rude to a lot of people, and sometimes she hurts someone's feelings by accident.

Occupation/background: She's a retired acrobat who grew up in the circus.  Then one day she met this super hot guy and she fell in love with him and they got married.  Then she realized that he was actually a prince and he lived in this castle.  They traveled the world together for many years until they got too old and came back here.  A few years ago, her husband passed away, and now she lives here all alone.

Other: She is going deaf, so she can't hear very well.
