Shadows Burning

So, as Raindrop says, this will be our school drama/ romance roleplay.

Don't worry, your character does not have to fall in love with someone. *coughcoughdarknesscough*

Our characters are one year behind Harry, so they're with Luna, Ginny, Colin Creevey, etc...

We'll start with the sorting and then jump to book #5 (Order of the Pheonix), which would be year 4 for our characters.

Personality: sort of a tomboy, brave and loyal.  she can't sit still for long and tends to get into trouble.  she is very proud and also stubborn.  in general, she doesn't care what other people think about her, but she hates to appear weak.  sometimes she does stupid things because she is trying to look brave.  she is kind of a daredevil.  her faults are being impatient and headstrong.  she is not a good listener.

Personality: Always calm and cool, always seems to know what to do. He is extremely witty and clever, though he doesn't always choose to use his brain on classwork. He only devotes time and energy to things that he thinks benefit him in some way.

Other: His family and the Malfoys are close. Chander and Draco are not exactly friends, but they are allies, and Chander sometimes teams up with Draco when it benefits him.

I'd rather start at Hogwarts, but I think Jasmine wanted to start on the train. Is she still doing the roleplay?

(Yes, yes, very funny with the roleplay introduction, but I'll have you know I'm kind of on the fence about making my character fall in love. I guess we'll just cross that bridge when we come to it)

Personality: Very competitive and sporty. Good listener, always trying to make things better for people. Likes to help and is very focussed on school work. Friendly to most people.

Other: Makes friends easily, but also makes enemies easily (kinda like with people from other houses).

Physical appearance: coulple inches past shoulder length brown (a little on the dark side but not too much) curlyish hair, brown eyes, pretty

Personality:sort of shy and quiet, smart, I'm sort of short on time so I'll leave it at that for now.

Tiana looked around in amazement. she had never been inside a castle before. a woman walked toward the group of first years. she wore her dark hair in a tight bun under her large black witch hat, and a long green cloak was draped around her shoulders.

"welcome to Hogwarts," she said.  "i am proffessor McGonagall.  please follow me."

The first years followed McGonagall into the great hall, where they all sat at a table. The room was full of all the older students, and everyone was looking at them.

McGonagall was holding an old hat. "This is the sorting hat", she said. "When I call your name, you will come up to be sorted."

Lianne wondered what the hat did. It didn't look like much, she was thinking when the hat suddenly burst into a song about the four houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin.

Then McGonagall started calling names. Chander was one of the first. The hat chose Slytherin for him after a little musing, and he went and sat next to Draco Malfoy.

"cruise, Joshua" said proffessor mcgonagall.  tiana's twin brother stepped forward.  "seeya, ti' he said.  'HUFFLEPUFF" screamed the hat, and Josh joined his table.  now it was Ti's turn.  the hat did not think for very long before announcing "GRIFFINDOR"

(So, after the sorting we are skipping to year 4/book 5, right?)

(is Ti pronounced like Tee or Tie?)

There weren't many kids left by the time Professor McGonagall called Lianne's name, right after Weasley, Ginny. She stepped up to the hat and just after it slipped over her eyes it called out, "RAVENCLAW!"

(I always thought it was Tee, but I don't know.)

food appeared on the tables.  tiana wasn't hungry, having stuffed herself with sweets on the train.  she spent dinner throwing peas through nearly headless nick when he wasn't looking, wondering if he could feel it.
