I think that's what it's called. I know it started with 'Alae' but I couldn't remember what came after that... please correct me if you know what it is.

So, anyway. In this roleplay we are highschoolers from around the U.S.

There was a company that was starting a reality TV show in which teens are split into groups of four and sent to live on a tropical island, and must perform tasks. The teams have color names, and everyone on that team recieves a bandana of their color that they must wear on their body so that it is clearly visible at all times. After each challenge, one team is eliminated.

In every high school in the U.S., all students' names were put into a hat. The one student who's name was picked would have the chance to participate in the show. If they didn't want to or weren't able, another name would be picked.

Me, Ribbon, Raindrop, and Darkness are on the blue team. Jasmine is on the orange team, along with three made-up characters. We can make up the people on the other teams, too. Usually there are two boys and two girls on each team. My character is a boy, and both Ribbon's and Raindrop's are girls. Therefore, I would suggest to Darkness that her character be a boy. If you don't want to have a male character, that's fine and we can pretend they ran out of boys and had to have a team with only one.

This is the character sheet for you to fill out:

Name:

Age/grade:

Gender:

State of residence:

Physical appearance:

Personality:

Physical fitness:

Other:

We will begin with the name drawings at the schools. Oh yeah, and the first challenge on the show is a whole-island treasure hunt.

Have fun!

(Well, probably not every school, actually. But at least one in every state.)

(Probably one from each state would be good. They could pick someone from each school in a state, then pick one of those to go. They would probably figure out if a person could do it when they were picked from the school.)

(Jasmine says that she wanted her character to be from California, and she's not going to do it if she can't be from California, so my character's not from California anymore. Now she's from Arizona.)

(My character's name is Abi. (^_^) We're starting at the drawings, right?)

Abi sat slouching in the back of the school auditorium.  Assemblies were so boring, but they were better than math class.

"I have some exciting news," the principal announced.  "Our school has been selected to represent the state of New Mexico in a new game show called Alaeko Island.  One  student will be chosen to compete against teenagers from across the country on the show.  And the lucky student is..."  He reaches into a hat and pulls out a slip of paper.  "Abi Richards."  Abi sat up straighter, suprised.  The show sounded kind of lame, but at least she would get to miss school.

If the bleachers were just a little more comfortable, Chance would have probably been asleep by then. If he had been in class, he would have been sleeping. He was sitting on the edge of the bleachers with only one butt cheek, his right side pressed awkwardly and painfully against the metal grating. On his left sat Jeff, a large 10th grader who was gabbing to his freind in front of him, not noticing Chance's discomfort.

Chance yawned and glanced at the clock, hoping that the assembly would be over soon. The man on the stage below was yelling something into his microphone and gesturing enthusiastically towards a large carboard box with a sign on it that read  Alaeko Island. The man paused dramatically and reached into the box, pulling out a small scrap of paper. He held it up in front of his eyes and squinted at it for a few minutes. "Chance Velido!" He boomed.

"What?" Chance blinked alarmedly. "Why'd they call my name?" Jeff was pulling on his arm, shoving him down the bleachers joyfully. "I'm so jealous, man!" He grinned and punched Chance lightly on the arm.

The other students parted before him like the red sea, staring at him excitedly. At last he reached the floor and walked self-conciously up to the man on the stage, who gave him a huge grin. "Chance Velido! This is your lucky day! You get to miss school for half a year to go live on Alaeko island! I hope you're good at survival skills, or else you may be missing school for longer than that!" He chuckled and grabbed Chance's hand, pumping it up and down violently. "SO, waht do you say, Chance? Will you be part of the show?"

I get to miss school for half a year. Why not? "Yeah, sure." I said.

(I know you can't see me but I am sticking my tongue out at you!)

Jonah Wilson was talking to his best friend Brian, when the crowd at his school got really quiet. Jonah felt a long and boring speech coming on. He was right. After a few minutes, he tuned out. Then he heard the kids behind him starting on a drum roll. "Jonah Wilson!" He heard the teacher on the stage call. Reluctantly, he started toward the stage. "Jonah! How would you like to go on Aleako Island?"

      "Uhh... Sure?" Jonah said.

Rhiannon and her friends had been talking about the show ever since they had heard about it. She thought it sounded awesome - she'd go live on a tropical island for a few months anytime. Although she realized she had little hope of being picked out of so many kids, she hoped it would at least go to somebody who would appreciate it instead of some kid who only accepted to get out of schoolwork. When the man finally stopped talking and drew out a slip of paper, calling out  "Rhiannon Haywood," she let out a whoop and stepped off of the bleachers, high-fiving people as she passed. "I'll do it," she said before he got the chance to launch into any sort of speech where a simple question would do.

Chance wondered if he needed to pack anything. He decided to just throw a few shirts, pants, underwear, a toothbrush, and deoderant in a bag. He was ready to go. Now he just had to wait until tomorrow to fly to Alaeko Island.

Abi climbed onto the plane, stowing her bag in the overhead compartment.  It would be kinda cool to be on a TV show, but she hoped there wasn't too much drama involved.
