cool, have you finished it? I'm almost done w/ Shadow's copy.
everyone in the districts thinks 2 is quarries, though. right? maybe 6 can be drama/entertainment, and 9 can be metals and woodworking, for everything besides weapons. if blacksmithing is too similar to weapons.

actually, i think wren chose him. i'm not sure why, though. he's so much bigger than her. I've decided that wren will have four olders sisters, three in the reaping. none of them volunteer. not even a good-bye. she's probably mad at them. maybe she chooses drake to get back at them, like if he's dating one of them or something. i don't know.

faults:annoying, sometimes sort of obnoxious, never takes things seriously,
district:3 Training score:4 Whothey chose/ who chose them/ why: He chose Sara Coleman, because she is young, small, and weak.

District 1--Reaping of the 76th Hunger Games Marcus stood with all the other guys, laughing and whooping along with everyone else. Here in District 1, it was an honor to get chosen to compete in the Hunger games. Especially in the Quarter Quells. But this year's game was going to be even better than last year's. This year there was going to be a special games, one unlike any other that had ever taken place. And as he stood in the crowd in the main square of his district, Marcus could feel the hope exuding from every body around, the hope shimmering in the air around him. But he was about to squish the dreams of them all. He was determined that this year, his last year in the reapings, his name would finally be called. Every head turned to the podium as the reaper-lady-person began to speak. Marcus didn't listen to much that she said. It was mostly the same old stuff every year. Her tall stripy wig bobbed back and forth as she spoke into the microphone. Finally she was holding the reaping bowl. She fished around in it for quite some time before pulling out a name. She looked at the slip of paper for what seemed like an hour, and then said; "Marcus Johanneson." Marcus felt the gloating smile sread across his face as he walked up the steps and stood upon the platform. The lady addressed him. "So, Marcus, you must be feeling very proud right now." She beamed. "And now you must choose a lady to share this honor with you." He looked at the crowd. Every face wasturned towards him expectantly. All except one. Iridescence Winthrop was staring at her feet, looking as if she was trying to avoid meeting his eyes. He knew why. She was an odd girl, the only one in District 1 that he knew of who didn't enjoy the Hunger Games. This was her first year in the reapings. Marcus knew just who he would choose. "Iridescence," he said with a sneer. He saw her head fly up at the sound of her name, the terrified look in her eyes. He laughed. "I said, Iridescence. Iridescence Winthrop."

Iridescence hadn't thought she would be picked - most people in the district want allies, and she would make a terrible ally. She was caught off guard when Marcus called out her name. She couldn't believe her ears. As she stumbled up the steps, her mind raced. Why would he choose her? She knew the answer, though- he was mean and wanted to see her reaction, and he knew she would be a pathetic opponent.

Meanwhile, in District 2, 16-year-old Dreamer Sullivan was waiting for her name to get called. She knew it would. She had a weird sense about things like this. Some people thought she was mad, and sometimes she agreed with them. But that would give her an advantage in the hunger games, she thought. She brushed ginger hair out of her dark blue eyes and glanced around absently. "Dreamer Sullivan" The sound of her name made her jump. Then she realized that the voice had come from the steps of the victory building. Before she knew it, she was standing next to a capitol man with spiky silver hair. "Come on dearie, it's time to pick a man to join you in the arena." Said the capitol man. Dreamer already knew who she was going to choose. "Rage Martins" She said, and smiled at him. Leah's mother, Annie, gave her a quick hug before sending her into the crowd. "Remember," Annie whispered in her ear, "You're only thirteen, so its not very likely that you'll get called...." Tears filled her mothers eyes, and even though her gaze was fixed on her daughter, Leah knew that she was actually looking at something else, far away. "Mother?" Leah whispered. "Mother, it's okay." Finally Annie smiled sadly and reached over to tousle her daughter's sunkissed hair. "I have to go, mother. I'll be back, I promise. And we can go see Daddy again." "You look so much like Finnick." Annie sobbed. Then her mind was gone again, and Leah was rushing off to join the other girls waiting for the lady to announce who the female tribute would be. Leah fidgeted, every few seconds reaching up to adjust her glasses. She knew wht she had to do, and hoped her mother would forgive her for it. The capitol lady reached into the bowl of names and pulled one out. "Finn Peters." She announced. A frail, sickly 12-year-old boy mounted the steps. "Would anyone like to volunteer?" The lady asked. Leah raised her hand. "I would like to volunteer." She called. "Name?" "Leah Odair." The lady beckoned for her to come up. As she did, she glanced over to where her mother had left her. But she was just staring off into space, not seeming to realize that her own daughter had just volunteered. "Okay then, Leah. Which of those lovely young men down there would you like to accompany you to the arena?" The lady asked. Leah scanned the crowd of boys. Her eyes fell upon Garrison Ralphes, her best friend. He looked up at her hopefully. He had made her promise that, if her name was chosen, she would choose him as the boy tribute. (I hope this is okay, Darkness) "Garrison Ralphes." She said.

(Fine with me!) Garrison smiled and stepped up the steps. The promise he had made with Leah had worked. He was going into the arena. He was going to be a Career. Or, at least, he hoped.
