Shadows Burning

"Come on Crow. Help me look for others that are hurt." Eagle said gently, touching Crow's shoulder softly.

Falcon flapped wearily to her nesting area, ready for a good night's sleep before coming up with more strategies to beat the cats.

(I'm here!!)

Crow shakily stood, following Eagle.  she tripped, realizing how tired she was.  her arm looked funny, like it was bent wrong.  the bloody gashes Cheetah's claws had left on her wing were even more visable on her arm. 

Then Falcon noticed Eagle and Crow, and decided to join them,

"I think I'll go look for others. You might want to get your arm checked." Eagle said to Crow.

Falcon fell into step beside Eagle. "Mind if I help you?" She said.

"Not at all." Eagle replied. Then lowering her voice she asked, "How many do you think we have lost?"

"Too many," Falcon replied grimly. "If we want to be able to claim victory over that cats, we need to come up with another plan. There's no way we'll win by just fighting them."

"I've been thinking. What if we messed up their camp, while they were hunting? We could set traps out for them and catch them off gaurd. We might be victorious." Eagle said.

"Hmmm. That's a possibilty. But we should really hold a clan meeting and discuss strategies."

"Sounds good to me." Eagle replied. A movement over by a tree caught her eye. "What's that?" She walked over carefully and slowly bent down next to the figure.

Falcon didn't notice when Eagle went off by a tree to look at something. She was too busy thinking up strategies.

Eagle bent down next to were she had seen the movement. "Um, Falcon? I think you'll want to see this."

Crow had been slowly making her way toward the tent where the Clan's Healers lived and worked.  she respected the healers, but the strong medicine smell of their tent made her uncomfortable.  she could hear Eagle and Falcon talking behind her, but wasn't paying attention.  then, something in Eagle's made her stop and turn around.  as usual, she let her curiosity get the better of her and walked to Eagle's side. 

(wait a minute... what about Dove?  We kind of just left her lying on the ground.  isn't she hurt really badly?)

Eagle jumped as Crow walked over. "I thought you had gone to the healers." She said.

(I don't really know what happened about that. I posted that I woke up a while ago, but it never really made sense for me to say anything. I could pretend I never woke up and wake up again or something.)

"What is it?" Falcon asked Eagle. There was something in Eagle's voice she didn't like. Just then, Crow walked over.

"I don't know if I got hit in the head to hard, but I think that might be one of us." Eagle said, pointing over to where she saw the sudden movement. She was hesitant to go over. "Or it could be one of the cat clan that we managed to hurt." She added.

Falcon glanced at Eagle with raised eyebrows. Just then, she caught a slight movement out of the corner of her eye. She approached the spot cautiously, not sure if she would come across a bird or a cat. Or neither.
