Siamese's head whipped around as she heard Falcon's screech from behind her. Acting quickly, she dodged to the side and sprinted for safety.

Falcon swooped out of her dive as Siamese dove into the bushes, circling frustratedly above the battle. She dropped to the ground, scooping up Dove in her talons before hurtling up again. Then she streaked away from the battle towards camp, Dove hanging limply from her claws, her blood dripping into the forest below.

(I'm calling the battle over. No birds are still concious except for Falcon, and she's not in the battle anymore. I hope no one minds that I'm speaking for all of the cats.)

Confident victory was theirs, the cats left the clearing to go tend to their wounded.

(That's fine. WHERE ARE RAINDROP AND JASMINE????!!!)

Cougar felt pride at the cats' victory well up inside her, and despite her injury, she felt happy and light- spirited.

(I DON'T KNOW BUT THEY ARE AN HOUR LATE SO I HOPE THEy GET HERE SOON)

Siamese stayed a ways away from the rest of the group, feeling guilty about Dove's injury. Although she would never admit it, she hoped that the little bird survived.

Tiger was disipointed that Falcon had gotten away from her. Other than that, the day had gone perfectly. The Bird Clan wasn't going to recover very fast from the blows dealt today.

(sorry i couldn't go on before)

when she was sure all the cat clan warriors had gone, crow emerged from her hiding place, becoming human again.  she gritted her teeth against the pain in her arm, and stumbled dizzily through the camp.  all around her were the bodies of dead and injured birds, but all the cats had made it out, hardly hurt at all. How could the bird clan hope to overpower the cat clan, when all their enemy warriors were so much bigger and stronger.  when she came across the lifeless body of her sister, magpie, she sank to her knees, overcome with sorrow.  a flame of rage burned hot in her heart, and the tears streaking down her face did nothing to put it out.

(I think Dove's cut didn't occur to Tiger at that moment.)

Eagle awoke to find Crow, sad for the loss of her sister, but then looked angery, like she could take on every cat clan warrior. Eagle painfully became human, like Crow was, and attempted to stand up. She managed a sitting position and tried to crawl over to Crow.

(I've been wondering, do we always wake up in the same form we were in before, or do we sometimes change into a human if we were a bird before?  Like, could Dove wake up in the hospital or whatever it is as a human even though she was a bird when she became unconsious?)

(I don't know. It sounds like a good idea though. Should we have them wake up human?)

(It does seem to sort of make sense if they woke up human, and I think it's cool too.)

(So, should we? I mean, we're humans who can turn into birds, not like birds who can be human. Most of the time we're human, right?)

When Dove woke up, she was human. She attempted to sit up instinctively before she realized she was injured. Moaning, she fell back. She realized there were others around her (not sure who they are, they could be you guys) and asked, "What am I doing here? What happened?"

Eagle managed to push up into a crawling position, then a standing. She slowly walked over to Crow and sank down next to her. "I'm so sorry." Eagle whispered.

After dropping Dove off at camp, she quickly turned human and went to work on her friend's injuries. She heard Crow weeping behind her, and Eagle trying to comfort her. How will we ever take on the Cat Clan? She thought. Every time we battle them, we lose more clanmates. If we ever want to beat them, we'll have to rely on more than just our talons. We'll have to use our brains, instead of trying to fight them. Suddenly, Doves feathers began to disappear as she turned human again. Falcon jumped away so that she wouldn't get smacked in the face. Her brow furrowed. This only happened sometimes, when one of the clan was in such pain that they were unable to keep their bird form. It also happened in their sleep sometimes, if they were changing in their dreams.
