It was unlike anything she had ever seen.  She was surrounded by cajillions of dragons, sparkling and shimmering in cajillions of colors.  the sight of it took her breath away.  She gazed into cajillions of pairs of beautiful dragon eyes, wondering which one would be hers.  Her eyes came to rest on a big dark red dragon who was grinning wickedly around him.  He leaned forward and whispered "shimmering" in her ear, so quietly she could barely hear it. Then, when she was still close, let out an earsplitting shriek. He was a jerk.  Jasmine loved him right away.

Shadow snickered quietly at the dragon's trick, thinking of how well Jasmine and Shimmering would get along.

Raindrop contemplated names for her dragon.  Of course, its dragon name was Dancing, but she would need a name among the humans too. 

Lily walked over to Raindrops to see what see was thinking about because the way her face looked, she looked like she was thinking out a plan.

(let's just pretend that Star already went. She can do it later if she wants, but I just want to get on with the excitement.)

(Yeah. If we had to wait, we wouldn't be able to do any more tonight.)

After Star had recieved her draon and knife, it was time to sleep. In the morning there would be a magnificent feast to celebrate their full enry into the Us.

Raindrop slept fitfully.  She weaved in and out of many strange dreams, some wonderful and some nightmares. 

Shadow had a very strange dream. She saw the same image that she had during the ceremony, but this time, the voice said:

When a time of great peril

Is upon us

There will be six heroes and heroines

Each from the Us

Each not from the Us

Only when they are joined

Shall my name be revealed

And the Us saved

Ribbon slept deeply and dreamed of riding Flowing through the sky.

Jasmine lay in bed, trying to sleep. Tomorrow was the day they would announce if she was a dancer. Ever since she learned to walk, she had loved dancing. It was her dream to be a ceremonial dancer in the tribe.

her thoughts turned to her dragon. The name shimmering just didn't seem to fit him. She would call him Ro. Just as she was drifting off to sleep, the sun peeped up over the horizon.

(I have to go)

Raindrop's final dream was the one that stood out to her the most. It was some kind of prophecy, dark and mysterious. the words stayed locked in her mind for hours after she awoke. the strangest part about it was the fact that, although she didn't know it, other's were recieving the same prophecy too. and it was most definitely not a coincidence.

(we're all supposed to have this dream, right?)

As Ribbon and Flowing flew, a voice sounded from around them.
