Shadows Burning

I was a new moon, and as the friends approached the circle, the flickering firelight cast an eerie glow on their faces.

We all stood next to each other wondering what would happen next.

Then the leader  began to speak.

"today, these four children will become full members of the us"

Name of character: Ribbon Flowing

Age of character: 13

Physical Characteristics (pic or description): Very long dark red hair, bright green eyes

Personality?:Cheerful, quiet around stangers. Determined.

Talents?: Good at dancing Good accuracy with a bow.

Dragon (description or pic): Purple and turquoise swirls for color, wise

Weapons used for hunting (bow or spear): Bow

Weapons used for fighting (sword, bow, spear, other?):sword or bow

Other?: none

"They have all worked very hard in training, and we are sure they will be valuable additions to the Us"

"who wishes to go first?"

Shadow stepped forward tentatively, immediatly regretting it.

raindrop took a small step backward, and for once everyone could tell what she was thinking.  'i am not going first'

"Good luck!" whispered Lily ,excited for her friend, then she stepped back.

Finally, after noone volunteered, the leader said: "Shadow.  You may step forward inot the ring."

So SHadow did, her heart thudding against her chest.

then, the other leader, Midnight Calling, smiled, her eyes warm.  Raindrop grew a bit less nervous, and started to relax. 

"Shadow." she said. "you may choose your dragn." And suddenly htere was a great rushing sound and Shadow was surrounded by dragons. She walked slowly among them, waiting for one of them to whisper it's name. Just as Shadow was beginning to give up hope that she'd ever find one (something that had never happened), Another dragon swooped down out of the sky."Burning" it whispered to her.

the whole of us was gathered, watching.  this was big.  this was important.  this was amazing.

Jasmine waited for Midnight Calling to get on with Shadow's ceremony so she could have hers next!  She would have gone first but SOMEBODY (Raindrop) had told her Shadow was already going.

Ribbon and the others watched, fascinated as the ceremony continued.

Jasmine was really hoping that Midnight Calling would hurry up because she really wanted to leave by 9:00

"Shadow" she whispered back. SHe then laid her head against Burning's, the cool scales calming her. "shadow." said midnight calling. "you will now be named shadows burning, and you are a full member of Us. Here is your knife." While shadows burning was being presented ith her knife, she examined her dragon. It was the most beautiful she had ever seen. It was small/ average sized, with burning fiery eyes and dark glimmering scales that seemed to blend in with everyhting. Burning.

raindrop watcched in wonder, her eyes taking in the scene eagerly.  all of a sudden, she couldn't wait for her turn.
